We understand there's more to life
We work very hard to continuously improve our business and hopefully help our clients to do the same with theirs but we understand that there's more to life. We believe that business can play an important role in both the global and local communities and we try to reflect this in our decision making process.
Below are some examples of community projects we are involved in, or clients whose work we believe deserves to be highlighted:
St Anne's Hospice
Ellis Lloyd Jones is a long standing supporter of Friends of St Anne's Hospice in Newport.
All Creatures Great and Small
As well as being clients of ours, Ellis Lloyd Jones has also committed much time and effort to supporting the sanctuary. Kara Williams, our Audit Manager, has taken part in many of the charity's fundraising events, including the annual open day, and has also run a half marathon to raise much needed funds for the charity. All Creatures Great and Small does not receive government grants and relies solely on donations from the public.

Gwent Talking Newspapers
Ellis Lloyd Jones has been a long standing supporter of Gwent Talking Newspapers for over 25 years.
Gwent Charitable Fund
Another local charity we support. They provide much needed help and support to local welfare organisations.
TOGS Calendar (Children in Need)

Who would believe that two hardworking people in Newport were responsible for collecting such huge sums of money for Children in Need; £1.2 million last year alone!
These two really are unsung heroes of Newport dedicating huge amounts of time and effort to raising money.
It all started when 'Hells' got the patronage of Sir Terry Wogan to produce and sell the BBC Children in Need TOGS (Terry's Old Geezers/Gals) Celebrity Calendar in the late nineties. What has happened since could form the basis for a novel entwining romance and a genuinely happy ending!

City of Newport Business Club
Ellis Lloyd Jones has supported the City of Newport Business Club for the past two years. Our senior manager, Kara Williams, is the treasurer and committee member of the business club.
The club was set up in 2004 with an aim to bring together business from Newport and surrounding areas and create a forum for learning, discussion and networking. The club presents up to 4 events per year, all of which to bring industry experts and leading thinkers to Newport to share ideas and provide guidance on best practice for your business.
Newport Chamber of Trade
Richard Ellis, a partner in the practice, is also the Treasurer of Newport Chamber of Trade. The Chamber represents the traders of Newport and provides them with a united voice on issues which are of concern to them. The Chamber has been vocal in its support of traders on various issues during Newport's redevelopment and has a growing membership base.
