Online VAT filing changes confirmed
12 Dec 11
HMRC has confirmed that from 1 April 2012, all VAT-registered businesses will have to send their VAT returns online and pay their VAT electronically.
Currently only newly registered businesses or those with a turnover of more than £100,000 have to file and pay their VAT online.
Because of the pending changes, HMRC is recommending that businesses switch to online now to avoid the last minute rush.
The changes were announced in the draft clauses of the Finance Bill 2012, and follow a consultation.
We can register to file and pay your VAT online on your behalf, please contact us to find out more.
